Day 67

Patterns, patterns, patterns...
last day home.

Day 66

patterns patterns patterns. I can't believe that I talked about patterns without mentioning M.C. Escher, the greatest pattern maker that eve walked the face of the earth. One of my favorite artists in general, not to mention his patterns:
the last 2 are similar but the 3rd one is longer and better. probly one of my top 5 favorite pieces of art ever. just incredible. Look the guy up if you haven't already.

Day 65

Aaaah bucket list item #425(-ish): Learn to draw patterns really well.
I would think that drawing patterns takes 3 things:
  1. practice
  2. love for geometry/math
  3. practice

If I could, I would just sit around and draw patterns all day (could meaning had the time and like legit knew how). Patterns are amazing. Whether they're perfect, messed up, square-y, triangle-y, victorian, plaid, tesselationy, flowery, vine-y, paisley, stripe, checker, argyle, circle-y, zebra print or whatever, i absolutely love patterns. I gotta dedicate this to brogan, the most amazing pattern drawer i've ever met. sigh....patterns from the arabic world are the best

craaaazy. The intricacies and geometry of them are top notch. This is my aspiration. This is my inspiration. Patterns man...I have so much more to say about patterns but I can't think of it. I'd write a book on patterns, just to be around them. Just to learn more about them. Also fractal patterns are the coolest things ever ever ever ever. I might just do patterns for a few more days. OOOh and gustav klimt rocked at patterns. He threw eyes and vines and wierd lookin stuff into them and varied the size but they still looked amazing...aaah i gotta go to bed. More tomorrow.

Sunset from yesterday. I'll be 18 in an hour.

Day 59

Experiments in long exposure (long echo).
If the exposure were longer, I would have done some serious light drawings. Unfortunately it wasnt, and I'll have to wait till I can get a better camera. Still though, this was a lot of fun.
